MA (Oxon), MBBS (London 1988), MRCGP. Dr Rutland has first joined Lilliput Surgery in 1992 as a GP Registrar, and is the Senior Partner. As well as having an interest in musculoskeletal and respiratory medicine he acts as Primary Care Clinical Lead for Dorset CCG.
BM (Southampton 1998), MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP Dr Gladwin joined us in October 2003 as a partner, already familiar with the practice and many of our patients, having trained here as a Registrar. Her interests are general medicine, dermatology and women's health.
MBChB (Birmingham 2000) MRCP, MRCGP Dr Snell joined us in November 2009 as a partner. He trained here at Lilliput Surgery in General Practice and is a qualified trainer himself.
His interest lies in General Medicine and Diabetes. He is married with two children.
Dr Sam Abdollahian graduated from Southampton University medical school and completed his General Practice training locally. His special interests include emergency medicine where he works in A+E at Royal Bournemouth Hospital and minor surgery. He enjoys the outdoors and spends time walking, running or cycling around the Purbecks.
Dr Walder graduated from Birmingham University in 2005 and completed her GP training locally. She has a particular interest in womens health.
BM (Hons) (Southampton 2009). Dr Ayres joined the practice as a salaried GP in Nov 2014 having trained here as a registrar. Her particular interests are women’s health and contraception and she fits both coils and implants at the surgery.
The practice also employs locums and assistants on short term contract as the need arises. These doctors will always be fully qualified and accredited to work in general practice. In addition there are usually several longer term GP Registrars attached. The Registrars are qualified doctors who are undertaking specialist training in general practice.
Senior medical students, nursing students and health visitor students are often attached to the practice. They are always closely supervised and will be clearly identified to you as students. You have the right to decline to be treated in the presence of a student: nevertheless your co-operation in enhancing their medical training would be greatly appreciated. The practice is committed to improving medical education at all levels. Drs Rutland, Gladwin and Snell are all qualified Trainers.
